Saturday Evening, Touch Down in Tel Aviv/Jerusalem
Thanks to the magical drowsing effects of melatonin, my enthusiasm and excitement was tamed by sleep. Seven of the ten hours flying from Newark airport to Tel Aviv were spent dreaming, making our journey from point A to point B relatively seamless despite the cramped conditions. There was much build up about TSA checks once we entered Jerusalem but luckily we seemed to beat the rush and escape Passport control without much of a hastle.
Adam's brother, who works in Jerusalem, gave us a lift to our accomadations for the week and warned us of the infestation of ferral cats roaming the streets of Jerusalem! After settling in, we set to the streets for some late night wandering, scoping out the local restaurant scene and meandering through the maze of streets in the Old City.
Take a look at a few images from our walk this evening in the "Sites, Sounds, and Tastes tab! Much more to come tomorrow!
